Dr. Jorge Pavéz
PhD. Jorge Pavez Irrazabal is Associate Professor from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Currently, he is Director of the Materials Chemistry Department
His research areas are Physico-Chemistry of surfaces with nanoscale ordinates and Interfacial Electronic Transfer, for single-site catalysts development. During the last decade, he has been studying chemically functionalized metal-molecule interfaces, obtained by self-assembly methods and molecular grafting, as platforms for electrocatalytic studies in detection field (sendores) and energy conversion. Research focus on the effect electronic and structural properties of molecular identities that act as a molecular bridge between surface electrode and catalytic complexes (Metal-phthalocyanines and Metal-Porphyrins) located outside the interface.
